I built my first computer from used parts because I wanted to play video games. Then my interest turned to creating my own games. In order to do that, I had to learn to program computers.
Fortunately, my school had computer lab and I was introduced to programming using Scratch in school. I discovered that programming can be fun and have since kept it up as a hobby.
I’ve learned that while many school districts like mine have done a good job ensuring that all students have access to a laptop for learning, and to make technology a part of learning, not all schools do.
Also, many students still lack Internet access or a good working computer at home. I think this is something that should change, and something that we can change.
